Before a Sim decides to cook or have a snack autonomously, the game checks if there's already food available on the lot. If so, it prevents them from doing it. Unfortunately, some types of food are ignored in an unmodded game.
This mod includes the following foods in the test, as long as they aren't spoiled:
  • group meals (originally included),
  • single meals that no one has eaten (originally ignored) – except for food in toy ovens, if the Sim isn't a child,
  • unprepared food (originally included),
  • pizza slices in a box (originally included),
  • Chinese food on a tray (originally ignored),
  • food on buffet tables (originally ignored) – only maxis ones,
  • birthday and wedding cakes that have been served (originally ignored).

Updates
9 Jun 2024: Muffins in toy ovens no longer prevent teens and older Sims from trying to cook or having a snack. Pizza boxes no longer prevent Sims from recognizing Chinese food or food on buffet tables as available food.
No face stuffing if food available mod
This is a standalone mod that prevents Sims from performing the hidden fridge Stuff Face interaction if there's already food available.
  • The also leftovers versions additionally prevent Sims from performing that interaction when there are leftovers in the fridge.
  • The unhidden versions make the interaction visible for players.

The also leftovers versions require Seasons.
Use only one version at a time.
No party snacks if food available mod
This is a standalone mod that prevents party guests from performing the fridge Have a Snack interaction for party guests if there's already food available.

This mod requires at least one expansion or stuff pack.
