Background
Gardening and orchard are introduced in Seasons. They provide for additional activities to keep your Sims occupied and they yield produce of a few uses. I like them, to be honest, and their balance is reasonable.

Unfortunately, reasonable balance is never exempted from falling short. Gardening and orchard are tedious and time-consuming. I have seen more than a few households skip out on friendship and skills, because any profitable garden or orchard requires at least 3 handsSims to handle! Never mind the necessity of child labor and initial expenses that one can easily cheat around by incorporating them into apartments - the landlords will gladly let your Sims enjoy the fruits of their hard work!

This mod started out all about speeding up gardening, but as more modules noted in Other Changes are added, it is now about enhancing the experience of gardening. The speed boosts can be absurd, but gardening can now be said to be a hobby to pass time with fun and earnings, instead of an equivalent to raising 4+ toddlers every day!


Features
Faster Animations
  • The following interations have speed boosting codes built onto them: Tend, Harvest, Water, and Spray
  • Speed boosts are dictated by the Gardening talent badge.
  • Water\Spray\Harvest: animation speed values are 100%\120%\140%\160%.
  • At gold, the interactions above are about 60% faster than without the mod.
  • Tend: speed boost is now the combination of both the animation loop count and the actual animation speed boost itself.
  • Tend: animation loops cannot be skipped - Sims cannot exploit it by quiting the interaction anymore.
  • For Garden Plants: animation speed values are 100%\130%\130%\160%; loop counts are 2\2\1\1.
  • For Orchard Trees: animation speed values are 100%\100%\100%\100%; loop counts are 4\3\2\1.
  • Tending plots is faster than base game, with no badge working as fast as having the silver badge in base game.
  • Tending tree is already fast in base game, so only silver and gold are faster.
  • At gold, Sims require as little as 3 minutes to Tend a plot!
  • Harvest, which takes longer than others, benefits the most from the speed boost.
  • Other interactions have short animations and do not benefit as much.

Other Changes
Changes are sorted by file names.

All modules work separately and therefore are all optional, even the FasterAnimation.package. Still, they work best together and their BCONs are fairly customizable.


Additionally, SimWardrobe's Plant Food Sprayer has been de-hardcoded to support CC garden plants and orchard trees, as long as they are coded with the same category as Maxis originals. It is used for boosting plants' health without needing to talk to them, watering them, or wait to Tend them. New are the gaining of Gardening badge and Nature enthusiasm, and displaying the number of sprayable plants on the lot.

It has been renamed Paladin Palace Plant Prayer-S ($2,440) and can be found in Build Mode -> Garden Center -> Gardening


Options
The main download comes with a folder whose files apply speed boosts to the Plant and Fertilize interactions. For now, they are solely meant to be used with Lamare's Planting Overhaul mod. Instruction is provided in the same folder.

The Compatibility_Files.zip contains alternate versions of FasterAnimation.package that are intended to compatible with either or both of Epi's Color Traits mod and Lamare's 50 New LTWs. If you download it, then follow the attached instructions for proper installation.


Issues
SimWardrobe's Plant Sprayer has not been tested on CC garden plants and orchard trees. I'd appreciate if anyone can confirm it.
