Where's the lake you ask? There never was one, so leave it alone.
The Lake View Square Apartments holds all the dorm ammenities in a close knit community of individual apartments. The small gated community holds four residents, one in each of its apartment houses.

Each small house holds a small kitchenette, a TV, bathroom, and an upstairs bedroom. (do tell me if you have trouble with getting your sims into the bedrooms. I tried it, and some sims would enter, and others wouldn't. I want to know which one is the fluke ) There is also a large pool, the only "lake" available. The community center has a tiny diner, single-person public bathrooms, a pool table, video games, and places to study and read. Outside it has an external gym and barbeque pit (complete with poker table!).

The Lake View Square Apartments are a great place for you older college students, who are too old to be living in a traditional dorm with all those freshman, but have squandered away their savings and can't afford their own place.

The mailboxes shown do NOT COME WITH THE LOT!! You can get them at Simlogical if you want them, but I did not upload them, but rather let you decide if you want them or not. There is, in fact, no custom content at all. (even found out how to get rid of the free-rider recolors!).
