Now on with the show!

Inspired by the new shrinking options, and by Babayaga's lovely Lancet set, here is a starter for your Middle Eastern sims. The house has been playtested for about a week. Fatima al-Sadir found it very comfortable.

Description:
The Morroccan Mini is minimally furnished for a couple. It is basic at present, but some upscale outfitting would transform the house into an urban jewel.

The private courtyard boasts a pleasant garden and a simple fountain, to wash the dust from your feet before entering the cool interior. The hexagonal foyer leads straight to the heart of the residence, with archways leading to all the main rooms. There are separate sitting, dining and kitchen areas. Through the kitchen, the bin and WC are tucked in under the stairs.
The second floor contains a small bathroom and two bedrooms. The second bedroom is reached from the balcony, so you can enjoy the delicious desert air first thing in the morning (the balcony is roofed, in case the air is bit TOO delicious for your complexion). The spiral stairs continue to the roof.

The roof terrace is tiled and waiting to host your next party.

Notes for Players:

- The house is based on traditional Morroccan Riads (courtyard houses), which developed out of Ancient Roman housing. They are popular today with foreign investors looking for a holiday home, and are often resold after renovation. Some of them are huge palaces, others are more modest.
- The morroccan climate is hot and dry, so shade and airflow are paramount. Riads have few windows on the street walls, preferring to face into the coutyard instead. They have stairs in the corner, and roof terraces. The long, narrow shape of the side buildings is reflected in long, narrow living rooms with bedrooms above. The upper rooms are often accessed from a catwalk, rather than from an enclosed passageway. Due to the small size of the lot, I couldn't build on opposite sides of the courtyard, so I built on the back and right instead.
-Maxis terrain paint on the garden beds may be missing when installed - this is a basegame bug. Sorry.
-I've included (separately in the rar) the animations for the stairs, and the repository objects for the morroccan windows, which didn't package properly. I believe everything is now included.
-The bedroom window went missing during the photoshoot, but has been replaced. The two-seater sofa had to be sold off to get into the starter market, but the rest of the furniture is as shown.
- I would have used Babayaga's arches, but for some reason they don't appear in my catalogue, so you get Maxis square arches. Feel free to replace them. The master mesh arch is included anyway, since it is required for the others to work.

Note about shrunk lots: The house is built to within one tile of the lot edge, with the help of the LotAdjuster. This means you may need to use Shift to alter floortiles or wall coverings in areas that are considered unbuildable by the game. You cannot alter the outside skin of the house, unless you want it smaller - the game will not allow you to build new walls so close to the edge. Furniture and sims should behave normally, though.
