Lars Ulrich is the co-founder of the thrash-metal mammoth band Metallica, alongside James Hetfield , with whom he started jammin' together at the age of 17, and the rest is rock'n'roll history.



Originally from Denmark, Lars moved to LA as a teen, in hopes of becoming a tennis-star like his father, but ended up as a drummer instead.
With his original style of drumming, he created the base for today's fast metal drums.


When not touring, recording or jammin' with Metallica, Lars enjoys collecting fine modern art.
Lars and James are known for their ego-clashes between each others, which occurs often, but the two still remain as great friends. He is easygoing with people, open, friendly and loves to have good time.
