Those of you who frequent the Creator Feedback Forum will probably have seen that I've been attempting to recreate a sorry-looking home that is soon to be lost to the rising waters of Devil's Lake in the small town of Church's Ferry, Ramsey County, ND.

I haven't been able to find out much about the home, other that what I can see in the various pictures I have found of the house online. Looking at the home in aerial view makes me sad as you can see that its not the only beautiful old farmhouse being taken by the water. It would seem that its quite a common sight across that part of North Dakota. There's hundred of homes just like it; abandoned for other reasons, just sitting, awaiting their reclamation by Mother Nature. In researching the home I stumbled across a hauntingly beautiful website called Ghosts Of North Dakota which tells the story of town-upon-town of abandoned structures that can be found across the ever beautiful and rural state of North Dakota.

But here I have attempted to create the home in its hey-day; not long after it would have been built. I have built it on a 30 by 30 lot costing 133,821 Simoleons furnished and 74,586 Simoleons unfurnished. The lot is made from basegame content and all the fireplaces have been upgraded to fireproof.

I should very much like to thank tsyokawe for taking the exterior pictures for me, and also shmovese, lulume, Crowkeeper, Johnny_Bravo and SimmyRN for their help and advise over at the Creator Feedback Forum; this house wouldn't be looking as good as it does without you.
