When autumn strikes and you're not quite ready to don cardigans and jumpers, but at the same time, want that extra bit of warmth, dungarees are an excellent answer. Jumpsuits are too, but with dungarees, you don't have to strip off to pee, so there's less chance of catching turning blue whenever you visit a chilly bathroom.

Not only are they excellent for the above options, you get an additional pocket to put even more stuff in and they provide excellent expansion potential for events where you know that you're going to stuff your face would otherwise have waistband regrets.
