When it came to the Sims 3 Pets, the birds were my favorites.
I was so disappointed when EA did not include birds in their Cat and Dogs expansion or in their My First Pet pack.
So, when Bakie created his Animated Placeable Macaws and Animated Placeable Toucan I was quick to snatch them up.(Thank you Bakie!)

The only thing missing was a bird cage that could house them, along with their animations.
Unfortunately, animated creatures can not be resized, so I set out to build a birdhouse to specifically fit them.
To fill this need I created the Sturdy Birdie Bird Cage.
It easily accommodates both Macaws and Toucans as well as their animations, so Macaws can parade about freely and toucans can turn their long beaks as they will.

The Sturdy Birdie Bird Cage will also work for sculpted critters as well as those mischievous gnomes, or for that matter most anything you want to place inside it.
The bird cages come is seven colors: pale gold, white, black, faded green, fresh cut green, brown and blue.

Placing animated birds in the cages doesn't require cheats. Placing other objects, however, will require the bb.moveobjects cheat. Note: Because of it's position below ground level, there will be some clipping of the portion of the tail of the Macaw as well as the bird's claws. Bird movement is not affected.



Sturdy Birdie Bird Cages are found in the Decorative category under Sculptures.
