Shadee took a long breath and continued to stare at her two best friends. They were all at Shadee’s house, after school. Sebastien was chatting loudly gesticulating wildly with his arms, telling something to Holly and seemingly completely oblivious that Shadee was feeling miserable. Holly, lieing on the floor very close to him, was attentive at every little word that come out his mouth and was smiling like crazy.



And it really seemed like she was right! There was a very high possibility that Sebastien liked Holly too. Shadee could’t exactly name what that was that gave her this impression, perhaps the sweet and gentle looks he threw her…

‘Umm…Holly!’ Shadee piped out when all the attention Holly was getting began to really annoy her.

Both Sebastien and Holly turned around with surpised looks on their faces, as though they had forgotten somone else was in the room with them.



‘Sorry to bother!’ Shadee rolled her eyes, not managing to hide the fact that she was angry.

‘ What do you mean?’ Sebastien smiled, looking quite bemused.

‘Nothing! Just nothing! I only wanted to ask Holly when we’ll be going dress shopping for the ball. It’s coming closer and we still haven’t got something special to wear.’

‘We could even go now if you want.’ Holly responded quickly and grinned widely at her friend.

With a sudden unexplainable urge to pull Sebastien and Holly apart, Shadee stood up briskly.

‘Let’s go then! We don’t have anything for tomorrow, so no problem, right!’



At first, Holly threw her a puzzled look, as though she was about to say no. But she seemed to have changed her mind.

‘Ok then. If Seb has nothing against being dragged through thousands and thousands of shops and watch us try on billions of dresses…’ she trailed off giving him a sweet smile.

‘For you, I’d do anything!’ he answered back and brushed Holly’s back lightly with his hand.



The comment was meant to include both the girls, but Shadee had a distinct feeling it was only adressed to Holly. And this annoyed the h*ll out of her.
