Description:
For sims that are sick of living in the suburbs, Backdoor Lane provides an alternative: a couple of small town lots with a more urban look and feel. They fit together like a jigsaw puzzle, creating a maze of backyard gardens and interconnected alleyways when placed in a tightly spaced neigbourhood. Most of them work as corner lots as well as facing the street, creating a very different impression depending on how you place them and what's on the lot next door.
Backdoor Lane 25
Not quite as tiny as it looks from the outside, this is furnished for 1-2 sims but has two empty spare rooms so you can actually raise a small family here. Features a small front porch, combined kitchen/dining/living room on the ground floor, livable basement, and a double bedroom upstairs with a pretty bay window looking out on the greenery in the yard.
1 x double bedroom
1 x single bedroom (empty)
2 x bathroom
1 x kitchen/dining/living room
1 x basement (empty) -- this can even be made into two rooms, albeit very small ones
Furnished as on the pics, all basics on board including alarms, lights in + outside and a few plants. There's room for two driveways in the backyard but none included; I recommend using roddyaleixo's Invisible Driveway for this (if you've downloaded any other Backdoor Lane house you should already have it). Way prettier than any of the Maxian ones.
Houses on the overview pic, from left to right:
top row (opposite side of the street):
- Cemetery
- Backdoor Lane 16
- Backdoor Lane 01
- Backdoor Lane 11
middle row:
- Hotel Ampersand
- something similar to Backdoor Lane 23, not sure what
- this house
- Backdoor Lane 03
- Backdoor Lane 14
bottom row:
- Backdoor Lane 21
- Backdoor Lane 02
- probably Backdoor Lane 20
If you've trouble downloading this with QXPress, try manually.
Thank you:
This collection (frillen) as well as this one (loba) and that one (windkeeper), the mini lots by Andi8104 and the ones based thereupon (MaryLou) have been very useful in making the Backdoor Lane neighbourhood. Thanks for making them available.
Please don't PM me with neighbourhood terrain requests (look in the Neighbourhoods section instead), downloading issues (I can't help you -- look in Site Issues, Q-XPress forums etc), or Build Mode questions (general questions go here, lot specific questions in the d/l thread). Thanks.

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
