Yes, indeed, this is a lot I made myself inspired by these lovely house plans. Of course I got BV and immediately had to build a new home for my farming family... but they're a modern suburban family so this is not meant to be a farm house at all, but simply a warm, rich Craftsman style home with plenty of room for a large family.
Don't be afraid that I'm gonna go and be a builder though - this is a total fluke and probably won't happen again, but I just loved how this house came out even with such a minimum of content, so I had to share.

- Lightly furnished: bathroom fixtures, cabinets, kitchen appliances, and basic lighting. I like unfurnished homes to look like you would expect a real unfurnished home to look - not completely bare.
- 4 Bedrooms with room for several more if you divided up the basement room and/or game room.
- 5 Bathrooms - All have at least a shower
- Front and back porch
- Two sun rooms
- Study - which could instead be used as a nursery
- Huge basement - in my game this is used for indoor gardening with grow lights. They're, uh, growing eggplants.
But you can divide it into more bedrooms with very little trouble.
- Large yard with pond - and room for a small greenhouse if you prefer not to use the basement for gardening
- Easily navigable floor plan - no narrow hallways, no bottlenecks
- Lot has been playtested for 1 sim week using a copy - no depreciated pricing.

I have packaged this lot in two different versions - I STRONGLY recommend getting the Minimal Content version.
Why? Because the little bit of custom content I have used, you should probably just go get the whole sets, and get them separately so you can keep your Downloads folder organized.
Sets/Items Used - Use this as a 'shopping list' if you are getting the Minimal Content version and you want the full sets (Recommended!):
- Mary Lou's Independent Expressions Set: You want this whole set, seriously! I haven't used the whole one but really, you should just get the whole set because it's awesome! Windows Part 1, Windows Part 2, Windows Part 3, Doors and Arches
- My basic wall and floor super pack: 81 Walls, Carpets, and Tiles. I have just used some of the walls. Get the rest of the set in many colours as well as matching carpets and tiles there.
- Reyn's Wooden Stairs: Open Underneath Version of Maxis Stairs - Totally versatile and much nicer than the originals. These require The Scriptorium!
- Numenor's Recolourable Wooden Modular Stairs: Both used for the front porch steps as well as required for Reyn's wooden stairs to work.
If you get the All Content Version (Why? You really do want those whole sets, really... just trust me...):
- You MUST get and install The Scriptorium!
- You MUST put the included 1301_RSOpenWoodStairs.txt file in the Scriptorium Modular Stairs folder - you will find a shortcut to it in your Downloads folder once you install the Scriptorium. Do not just place this .txt file in Downloads as that will not work!
Both versions - with all content and with minimal content - include three files packed separately, by me (just put these in your Downloads folder):
- Cedar recolour of the Independent Expressions windows - works for Maxis as well as MaryLou's (the game won't pack Maxis recolours anymore).
- Cedar and stone recolour of the Maxis Craftsman Column (again, another Maxis recolour that didn't pack).
- A default replacement of the Maxis Craftsman Column - I hate hate HATE that the Maxis columns never reach the second level, so I fixed this one and raised it up. Poly count is the same as the original Maxis, just the top has been lifted slightly so it joins with the next floor.
Pictured but not included (or packaged - all other pictured content is Maxis and the lot is otherwise packaged as shown):
Lot Size: 3x5
Lot Price: 91,555
Custom Content by Me:
- Basic Paint - Dark Brown
- Basic Paint - Lighter Brown
- Basic Paint - Lightest Brown
- Basic Paint - Light Brown

- CynicalChick for advice on uploading.
- SimPE, for letting me make recolours and default replacement meshes.
- Especially big thanks to MaryLou, Numenor, and Reyn for their content!

Install Instructions
1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
