Downton Abbey (real life counter part, Highclere Castle) is home to the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants. This particular build features 53 bedrooms (including dressing rooms with sleeping arrangements), 7 bathrooms, and a further 7 powder rooms.

I tried to follow floor plans found online as closely is possible given TS3s restrictions -- however quite a few liberties have been taken. For example, fireplace placement. Also, I fitting all the dressing rooms with beds, I have no idea if this is accurate or not, as we only ever see Robert's (which does have a bed, in which he sleeps whenever he has a tiff with his wife). Also, I couldnt find a plan for the top floors anywhere. All I went on was an interview with the current Lady of the house, who said there were some 40-50 bedrooms up there.

Final notes: Uses decor from all EPs, no stuff packs, store or CC were used. This build was a doozy! As such it may be a little difficult to run if your computer isn't a little beefy. (If it isnt running well for you, try enabling 'object hiding' in the graphics settings). I have play tested it, in fact for awhile I made it a resort in my town.
Here are a few issues: although I tried to make them all accessable, a couple fireplaces are decorative only, your sims wont be able to reach. The ones that dont autolight are 99.9% sure to START FIRES. Before lighting any, please use cheats or a handy sim to upgrade them all to fireproof (auto-light would be good too, since a couple can't be reached.) This goes for mirrors too, I used a bunch purely for wall decor.


Basement:
Servants' domain. Mr Carson's office/butler's pantry, Ms. Hughes sitting room, kitchen, servants' hall, livery, boiler room, pantry, storage, exterior side access.

Ground floor:
Entry hall, saloon & grand staircase, dining, library, drawing room, morning room, 'red stair case', smoking room, 'the pink room', 2 offices. Powder rooms located in towers. 2 servants' stairways.

1st floor:
Family bedrooms and bathrooms, dressing rooms. Nursery, writing room.

2nd floor:
Guest bedrooms and bathrooms. Separate mens and womens' servants quarters.

3rd floor:
Guest suite. Additional rooms for servants.
