*The Rhodes Building* w/ Garden Lot - No CC!

The second round of Jo's foundation contest features a foundation on one side and a empty spot on the left. The second lot comes with a budget of $35,000 so that means $140k for a 4 unit apartment building. To me this looked like the perfect opportunity to do a community garden on the 'vacant lot' next door for the Rhodes.

Jo provided us with a tricky foundation. It had a little jut-out that wasn't really in scale with anything else, so I decided to shrink my foundation by using a large porch and by mirroring the window detail in the front and on the other side. That detail gave me the architectural direction of this building and seemed to reinforce my family choice.





The garden is busy and overgrown, but has plenty of space to grow whatever SSN vegetables the residents choose to plant. The lobby has a card table, chess table, punching bag, and a pinball machine.The ground floor has a corner convenience store. They sell groceries, sunglasses, magazines, coffee and alcohol.



Unlike my last apartment building, this one features unique layouts for each apartment. This happened simply because I wasn't happy with any of them. None of them stand out to me as 'the best', so I've done four different ones.



This time I was able to squeeze everything I wanted into the budget, so you don't need to add anything unless you want to do some more decorating.

If you want the little shop to be usable, you will need to download MogHughson's Apartment and Shopping on the Same Lot mod, otherwise no NPCs will appear, so no cashier and no baristas, and it won't function like a shop (which is fine too if you just want the apartments).
