It's getting colder out and I STILL hate my outerwear options. My sims are not the type to pull on a puffy parka and walk down the street like some sort of penguin. So what do I do? Go mesh shopping of course! Bodyshop loads and I try to find meshes that don't typically get made into outerwear. I found quite a few in the basegame and a few from the EPs.
I have created Defaults for these outfits. If you download them and install the default package to your downloads folder my versions are what you will see instead. I have also created MoverMods for all of these outfits, since most of them were from Everyday and that won't help the coat shortage any. The Mover package is also included with each Default, but you have to install them in a separate place or you will end up with the CC star on them and make them deletable in game (and corrupt your game in doing so! oh noes!)
You can pick and choose which outfits you want to change and you can also decided whether you want to move them or not, delete any undesirable packages before installing. Maybe you liked what I did to the AL-pointydress by adding tights, but you don't want to move it to Outerwear, then keep only the Default file! Maybe you want to move the HM-daisydress to Outerwear but don't want the tights I added, then keep only the Mover file! So very customizable!
Because you can download and install just the Default files, this does not require Seasons. If you install the Mover mods, to use the clothes you will need Seasons.
Installation Instructions:
Remember the DEFAULT files go in your Downloads and the Movers go here:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Highest Expansion Pack You Have\TSData\Res\Catalog\Skins
If that doesn’t work, try these other two locations instead. C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Highest Expansion Pack You Have\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins or C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Highest Expansion Pack You Have\TSData\Res\StuffPack
You can put the Mover files in your Downloads folder, but if you do, the delete button will be enabled in CAS and Body Shop. They will also not move the clothing and it will all be treated as custom content. Do NOT delete them in CAS or Body Shop. Doing so may corrupt some of your game files. To remove, delete the files themselves from the folder you put them into.
Enjoy!

About Me
- Please don't reupload my work anywhere else. Just point them back here, I'm not going anywhere! :)
- Please ask permission before using my work as a base for your project. I almost always say 'yes' and often times I will help you with your project! :bunny:
- If you make something (like a story or a video) and it has something of mine in it, send me the link, I love to see my stuff 'in action'!
- Sadly, but honestly, I can't take on requests. You can ask if it's something already related to one of my current projects, but I'm not likely to take on your project for you. MTS has lots of wonderful tutorials ;)
