Here's a floorplan I found via Google - my new best friend. I was searching through random Victorians and found this model and thought, oh, this should be easy.
No.
The roof was the challenging part, and then the strange shape of the breakfast nook, and then for the sake of the flow of the house I had to change the layout a little bit...it was tough work, but worth it. I like how this house turned out.
Not much of a back yard, but plenty of playroom on both sides, and a little in the front of the house, with lots of flowers, and room for more. The back/side yards are fenced in, in case you have some dogs that you want to keep out of your flowerbeds in the front (there are gates on the left and right sides, be sure and lock pets out if you want them to stay in the back yard.) Three bedrooms, spacious living room, attractive kitchen and gorgeous, open dining room - this house is one of my favorites. It was so much fun having my testers run this house.
The kitchen was a nightmare to build, but it turned out rather nice, though not as sunlit as I would like.

Looks nice, right?
However, there is an issue with the counters.
See these counters? They are unusable. Don't put anything except decorative stuff or lights on these counters - because of the angle, Sims won't be able to use the countertops. The dishwasher was tested and works just fine, and I can't see why a trash compactor in the same location wouldn't work as well. So don't put appliances on these counters. Your Sims will automatically avoid putting plates and such on them, since they can't get to them anyway.
These counters here, though, are usable, and your Sims will use them. I put some decorative stuff on the unusable counters for your convenience, feel free to put other things on them. The edges of the counters got kinda ugly, so I covered them up with some nice plants.

There's a cute little pool in the, well, side yard (can't really call it a back yard...). I was considering rebuilding it on a bigger lot to give your Sims some more back yard, but I liked the way this one turned out and I don't think I could replicate it if I tried.
Hope you like it!
