***Please see end of post for specifics on EP requirements***
Hey all, how you doin?! This time when I was creating a house, I thought of an idea not to just make another modern, but one with a twist.
I saw a set on the sims 3 store that involved the aging of a house, so that in gameplay it would look older. Or something. I didn't look at it too much as I'm not into Victorian style houses (as if you didn't know!). But it made me think of the goth house and some other victorian houses that have graves, so I thought, hey, I could make a lot with graves in my style, it would just have to be from the future . But then, I wanted it to be in modern day. So using my witch sim, I made up a little story about my house. And there are two graves in this house, with actual sims (without cc that I killed off with master controller).
All their clothes and hair are from ITF, aside from the old man's formal (as it lacked formal for old men in ITF). It's worth checking out their ghosts, as I actually took my sim into the future and killed off two of his descendants.
I will leave the story in a spoiler, but I very much reccomend reading it .
Now as for the house....
It has of course the graveyard and a hot tub as well. You can see the pool easily enough.
The second floor also has a plumbot building room with a time portal. In addition, there is a gym and study room. There is only two bedrooms because of this, but the kids room has three beds.
I had some fun with a garden in the basement. It has an 'ITF look' I think. I tested to make sure sims can work in it and such. You can easily make the room larger. If you want to plant some plants minimizing cheating, you can plant them outside, then using moveobjects on, put it in the basement.
Okay, now for the super story...
I uploaded Mark tonight as well here. You can read more of his story there, as well as see him.
**I'm sorry, but the graves actually aren't quite as pictured. They're regular graves. It was either regular with actual sims, or buydebug future graves without ghosts, I chose the former. Basically sims from the future are the only ones that get the future graves, and though my sim went to the future to kill off the sims, apparently master controller doesn't deal with future graves.**

Okay, now for the super story...
Mark Lemoray's family is one of the few families that are allowed to travel to and from the future as they wish, since his great grandson of six times invented time travel. He and his family therefore were allowed to travel to the future or past, as long as they were careful. Some in his family truly mastered blending in with the current time. Mark and his father particularly enjoyed traveling into the future, though his mother didn't really approve.
However, that wouldn't stop him and his father. She was worried that they would upset the time continuum. Well, it turns out she was right.
One day Mark was chilling in the future, when he heard that his family had a few dead relatives in a fairly well-off house. It was currently abandoned, but he checked it out anyway one night. He was awed that the place was still in perfect condition. All signs of aging in the future seemed to have been lost. It's amazing what technology could do. He was long used to what the technology itself generally offered, so he wasn't too impressed by the actual house.
He was however, astounded by the graves placed outside of the house. It's not that there were graves there at all, but one sprouted a ghost. He had never seen ghosts before, though of course he wasn't one to visit graveyards at night either. He saw one of his dead descendants. It was impossible to tell how he looked exactly, but it was clear that one he was old. Somehow, the old man was able to talk to him through a strange echo-like voice. It gave him chills, but the ghost didn't seem to harm him at all. He told him that the time continuum was upset around this house, and that Mark should stay away.
He said he had been a novice time traveler as well, so he understood the basics of what has happened. But how, he wasn't sure.
He started to tell Mark his story. Though Mark was terrified, he decided to listen to it anyway as he was also very curious as well.
He told him how he and his wife had been deeply in love traveling time together. One day though, she ate a magic jelly bean that they had in their houses, and died. He had never gotten a new wife as he loved her so dearly. He made a special spot for her grave by her house, and expressed his desire that he be placed beside her when he died- because he quickly discovered that she was never truly gone. Most nights, her ghost showed up, which didn't scare him too much as she had been a witch. They were able to keep their relationship in this strange way.
When some people moved into the house, they quickly became scared of their ghosts and moved out- and no one had moved back in since.
He wasn't quite sure why they were ghosts, but he was sure that it was due to the upset time continuum.
They soon figured out how the time continuum was upset. Mark thought that casting a spell to bring them to their after life would be for the best, though the man had discouraged it greatly. He couldn't stand to see him, or his wife, like this. The ghost was sure that they were there for a reason, otherwise they would be where ever dead people go.
His spell back fired in a way that he would never expect.
The first thing he noticed was that it was no longer night, it was bright as day, and his ghost was gone, though his tombstone still lay there. He looked into the distance, and noticed that something had gone very wrong. He wasn't where he had just been a moment ago, though the house still stood there.
He quickly found out he was back in his time, as if the spell brought him back to his rightful place. This must have been what the time contiuum upset had been. But clearly, that wasn't the case, because when he'd go back to visit the house, he still saw the ghost and even his wife, who was a strange blue-violet color. Something else must still be wrong.
Maybe he hadn't really upset the time continuum too much, as he had just moved a house. He wasn't about to try to reverse it, though. That could be what this 'time continuum upset' really is.
But in a way, the time continuum was already upset, so in a way it already happened. This Mark didn't think of.

About me
Hi everyone, I make modern homes for the sims 3 with few exceptions. I also love oasis landing, so I've made many (and will continue to make) many OL homes and community lots. Use the 'oasis landing' tag to see all my OL lots.
I use some CC on some of my lots (usually just the residential lots), but I only use a handful of it and use a few key pieces quite often, so your game won't get bogged down with tons of CC if you download my builds.
Sometimes I won't be around for a while, but if I've posted something within a few weeks, I am likely quite active. I am happy to accept modern community and residential lot requests as well at my discretion.
