Staff update: Update here for 1.13.106

Similar to Aikea Guinea's and cmomoney's Sims 3 camera mods, this mod removes the drift from the live/build mode and tab mode cameras, and it increases both cameras' ranges, enabling them to go down to much lower levels than EA standard. It also attempts to reduce the overall bounciness that occurs whenever you pan the camera around; however, there is still a bit of extra spring to it, especially when switching between floors. I was unable to eliminate that entirely, but if I figure out how I will post an update. These changes will affect both the default Sims 4 camera and the Sims 3 style camera (the check box found in Game Options under the Controls & Camera tab).

There are two mods here, one for the normal game camera and one for the cameraman mode (tab mode) camera. You may use both together, or you can choose just one. They override the Camera INI file and the Video Camera INI file, but I put them in package format for easy installation (in your Mods folder with your other package files). They will conflict with any other mods that make use of either of those two INIs. Built on game version 1.0.728.0 but would probably be compatible with earlier patches as well. However, I cannot confirm that, so if you're on a lower patch level use at your own risk.

As a side note, I created this mod to satisfy how I play the game, but other people may have different preferences, so if you have any suggestions for improvements or other variations please feel free to leave me a comment. =) Depending on what it is, I cannot promise that I'll be able to do it, but I'd be happy to try. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy!

A HUGE thank you to spladoum for testing this and giving me feedback. Also, credits to Aikea Guinea, cmomoney, buhudain, and Shimrod for their similar TS3 camera mods, which I used as a reference for figuring out which settings to edit. Created with S4PE and Notepad++.
