Here, frightening fun lurks around every corner along with a healthy dose of spine-tingling scares! Welcome to Halloween Hideaway!
I was inspired to build this Halloween world after doing my Lemax and Department 56 Halloween builds last year. I wanted to create a place where they could all come together with other spooky builds I've done in the past and create a world that is all year Halloween!
WORLD DETAILS:
Map Size: 512x512- Small Spawners: Fish, Nanite, Seed, Insect, Gem, and Junkyard Layers: There are 5 layers including the Global layer Terrain Textures: There are 8 terrain textures used, but none that exceed 8 per chunk Routing: Sims can route anywhere except steep hillsides and areas with excessive foliage or object details such as rocks. Name: Till Death Do You Part (Graveyard) Address: 415 Apparition Avenue Lot Size: 25x35 Description: Planning a Halloween wedding? If so, then why not have it at this creepy old church? Wed your Sims among burning candelabras, moss covered graves, and haunted old trees. Then why not send them down to explore the mausoleum and hope that 'Till death do you part" doesn't come sooner than you thought!

Name: Black Tide Beach (Beach) Address: N/A Lot Size: 50x50 Description: Enjoy a day of fun under the sun with just a hint of supernatural flair! Nobody knows for sure what lurks beneath the dark waves of this eerie ocean, but that doesn't stop adventurous Sims from swimming here anyway!
Name: Last Hope Lighthouse (No Visitors Allowed) Address: 112 Dead End Drive Lot Size: 25x25 Description: The souls of those lost at sea are said to haunt this spooky lighthouse.
Name: Tricks N' Treats (Visitor's Allowed) Address: 212 Specter Street Lot Size: 20x15 Description: Every kid wants candy and prizes on Halloween, so why not pay a visit to the Tricks N' Treats candy and toy store? Half candy shop, half toy shop, this spooky fun little shop is perfect for the kids in your neighborhood!
Name: Rickety Randel's Used Cars (Junkyard) Address: 216 Specter Street Lot Size: 20x30 Description: While not the best place to look for a car, this creepy dealership deals up plenty of places to dig up scrap, and dumpster dive prizes!
Name: Dead End Diner (Dive Bar) Address: 218 Specter Street Lot Size: 20x20 Description: This spooky little eatery may seem a bit frightening, but rest assured they have some of the best food in town!
Name: Lollipop Playground (Small Park) Address: 220 Specter Street Lot Size: 20x20 Description: If there's one thing everyone loves on Halloween, it's candy! Treat your sweet tooth at this devilishly delicious park! Grab a bite from the lollipop trees and sugar coated playground equipment, but be sure to still leave room for trick or treating!!
Name: The Pumpkin Patch Parlor (Visitors allowed) Address: 225 Specter Street Lot Size: 30x30 Description: A great place to grab a quick bite and a drink, The Pumpkin Patch Parlour makes for a perfect place to hangout with your supernatural friends.
Name: Oleander Gardens and Elixirs (Elixir Consignment Shop) Address: 230 Specter Street Lot Size: 30x20 Description: If your Sims are in the market for new elixirs and ingredients, take a trip to Oleanders! This creepy little market sells only the finest potion ingredients, many of which are grown right in the store's greenhouse! Whatever it is you need, they are sure to have it!
Name: The Pumpkin Park (Small Park) Address: 17 Spooky Circle Lot Size: 20x15 Description: This little park is where the townsfolk like to grow their pumpkins! Come pick out the perfect pumpkin so you can carve that prize winning jack o' lantern you've always dreamed of!
Name: Ghastly Goblin Gymnasium (Gym) Address: 18 Spooky Circle Lot Size: 25x18 Description: If you want a chance to be able to outrun those monsters that are after you, you're gonna need to work on your fitness! Luckily, the town gym has plenty of equipment that will boost your levels to maximum capacity and make sure those beasties won't be snacking on you tonight.
Name: Misfortune Teller (Visitor's Allowed) Address: 16 Spooky Circle Lot Size: 10x10 Description: Everyone loves having their fortunes told,take a trip down to this spooky little shop and see what the fortune teller has in store for you! Will it be riches and prosperity, or doom and despair??
Name: Lost Souls Library (Library) Address: 15 Spooky Circle Lot Size: 20x20 Description: Even the dead enjoy a good book now and then, and what better place to find some than the Lost Souls Library? A terrifying treasure trove of literature, this place is often frequented by the souls of past town residences who are just dying to know how that one book ends!
Name: Crypt Keeper's Court (Military, Police, City Hall) Address: 666 Damnation Drive Lot Size: 63x47 Description: Alongside the leadership of the island that govern from this stately hall, the police and military headquarters can be found here as well. Or if you are looking for some history of the island, feel free to take a look through the archive vaults in back.
Name: The Blood Bank (Vampire Lounge) Address: 24 Wrong Turn Road Lot Size: 20x20 Description: An eerie lounge for vampire Sims, The Blood Bank is a three bedroom inn ready to accommodate the undead! With no mirrors on the premises, freshly chiseled alter beds, and a ready supply of fresh plasma, vampires everywhere will be flocking to this haunted hotel this Halloween!

Name: Silver Scream Cinema (Theater and Criminal Hideout) Address: 34 Wrong Turn Road Lot Size: 29x46 Description: This terrifying theater is always the first to show the latest horror films! Catch a midnight screening of your favorite scary movie today!
Name: Spook Institute Of Scareness (Hospital and Science Lab) Address: 45 Wrong Turn Road Lot Size: 35x35 Description: Screams and wails of torment and despair can often be heard echoing from within this spooky sanitarium. The doctors are rumored to be evil scientists looking for patients to experiment on. And what about those strange smells seemingly coming from the basement...
Name: Freaky Funhouse (Visitors Allowed) Address: 13 Cobweb Court Lot Size: 20x15 Description: While it may look a little creepy from the outside, this funhouse features only the best games and prizes inside! From arcade machines, to claw machines, to shufflboard and more, there's always something to do for both kids and adults alike!
Name: Freaky Festival (Visitors Allowed) Address: 14 Cobweb Court Lot Size: 15x21 Description: Come spend a day of spooky fun at this frightening fairground! Apple bobbing, face painting, pie eating contests, and even a spooky haunted house maze await you!
A few things to note about Halloween Hideaway:
- This world does use a lot of Katy Perry Sweet Treat items! If you do not have this pack, some areas such as Tricks and Treats candy store , or any of the town playgrounds will be missing most all of their items and will be replaced by non working base game replacements!
- This is a ROADLESS world, so there are no vehicles of any kind, nor can vehicles be used. This means no cars, scooters, bicycles, broomsticks, taxis, trucks, limos, buses,and carpools. Some services that require vehicles such as maids, repairmen, pizza delivery etc. will not be available as well. There is an "invisible sidewalk" system in place that keeps your Sims on the designated pathways around town. Or if you prefer, there are LLAMA teleporters sprinkled around to make transportation easier. I would suggest downloading this mod that reduces the risks of using teleporters: http://www.modthesims.info/d/501781...-3-flavors.html
- This world has customized weather and lighting files. If you have any global lighting mods in your game I would suggest taking them out so they do not interfere with the custom lighting. The lore of the island dictates that it is set in a perpetual time loop that keeps it forever Halloween night. For this reason, Daytime and Nightime lighting are essentially the same to give the feel of an eternal Halloween night. Weather is still routine however and clouds will change colors based upon weather patterns.
- The plants in the greenhouse at Oleanders will go dormant in the winter as the roof is open. Also, any pumpkins set out around the town are debug items and will expire in about three days. Feel free to replace them with proper decorative pumpkins! This does not apply to the pumpkin trees, as those are simply textured that way.
- The Dollhouse is perfectly livable, but is not seasons-proof due to the open back. This can easily be managed with controlled weather, but rain and snow will pile up inside if you choose to leave them on. Your Sim may also get privacy notices due to the open bathroom.
- There are a few buildings that utilize the Supernatural sliding bookcase doors. However, they will not work upon your first use and you will have to manually delete and replace them or click them and 'reset' them to make them work. This is just an EA bug with the doors, but they can easily be remedied as stated before.

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.
For Package files:
1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
For Sims3Pack files:
1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
