Final Fantasy VIII: Squall Leonhart and Rinoa Heartilly

Squall is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy VIII. Quiet and introverted, he pushes away those who try to befriend him, and does not believe in relying on others. He is a member of the organization called SeeD: a group of mercenaries doing missions around the world. The gunblade is his weapon of choice.

Rinoa, meanwhile, is a General's daughter who becomes a member of a resistance faction group after moving out from her own home. She often clashes with Squall, due to the differences of their personalities. She becomes involved with SeeD later on, and slowly finds a way to Squall's heart.
