Some time ago I watched Downtown Abbey, the British historical television drama series. Not only the plot but locations impressed me and even that was not very important, I decided to find one and recreate for my Trio Lake Borough. Filming took place in town called Bampton, Oxfordshire. I found some views in Google maps and searched for rent houses with onthemarket. And now there is a set of seven terraced houses heavily inspired and named after their location.

















No CC was used
but there are various CC mods used and shown up in screens:
General tips to place and use the lot:
  • Install using default Sims 2 Pack Installer or S2PCI
  • Houses will appear in your lot catalogue with previews of row placement.
  • Lots are best to be placed in row along the road between two road corners by sides. The best row length is 7 tiles withe each house of this set but it can be rearranged to be shorter or longer. Possible combinations of different lengths are shown on last screenshot in gallery.
  • Note that lots have no pool tile which is required for custom water shaders to work.
  • All bushes can be trimmed; all flowers are accessible without mods. Full wall fireplaces however are enclosed in niches and act decorative so they won't be of use and catch items with fire.

Known bugs, issues and tips:
  • I had an issue with toilet stalls in this lot (same as many others in my neighborhood). Sims cannot flush remains after potty use in toilet stall. They go to it then they are making shrug animation and switch to another way to dispose it. This lot has a trash bin in nursery so sims are most likely to put all potty remains into it. When they fail.
  • Bampton Street 4 and Bampton Street 5 lots has bar islands next to the wall. Once sims will serve more than one platter they do it on island counter top and can not grab dirty plates then due to accessibility slots. My sims never served more then one platter but I decided to note that here in case you play another way. Act according to circumstances once you'll notice that.
  • Due to narrow paths, pets moving on all of these lots is kinda limited. Pets are fine until you can keep them in the garden.
