Description
A mod built after Nopke's Growing Wants Panel, this mod opts to grant extra Want slots and lock counts for youngsters upon "learning" - learning 3 toddler skills, getting an A+ report card, and becoming an overachiever. All of them learning and education-based, and more in line with passing semesters at university. (Hence its previous name, Uni-Styled )

If all conditions for extra Want slot and lock counts are met, teen Sims will have 5 Want slots and 3 lock counts before enrolling! That means they can will have 7 Want slots and 4 lock counts and after graduation!

Made because I disliked how the original mod disables earning them during university. That and I have been using Aspiration bar color for longer or shorter lifespan of teens and adults already.


Features
Fulfilling a following condition to earn the extra slot or lock count:
  • Toddler learns 3 toddler skills: +1 lock count.
  • Child gets an A+ grade: +1 Want slot.
  • Teen becomes an overachiever: +1 lock count (+1 Want slot if there is no extra slot).
Extra Want slot and lock counts are granted instantly once the condition is met. They can then be expanded furthur as Sims go through university.

Oh, and because of the extra necessity of limiting them to once-per-lifetime event, memories for getting an A+ report card and becoming an overachiever are also earned only once.


Of course, there is also a penalty in form of an extra Fear slot, granted on growing up:
  • Toddler has not fully learned any skill.
  • Child has a D grade or worse.
  • Teen has an F grade.
Once the 4th Fear slot has been earned, any future penalty will revoke an extra Want slot, or a lock count if there is none.

The best feature of this mod is behind the scene - the new Global BHAV: 0x00000813. It allows earning of a Want\Fear slot with both UI and settable capping. Getting the 6th Want slot while having the 4th Fear slot will instead result in the 4th Fear slot being revoked, for example. Made to support other mods in particular.


Options
Main Download contains all the pre-college slot and lock granting described above. They have been separated into multiple modules, which can be cut down if you find them excessive, or combine with Grow Up Style.

For those who want the feature of this mod, but in Nopke's style of granting slots and lock count upon growing up, while also allowing university graduates to gain them, download Grow Up Style instead. Check the Read Me text in there before installation.

Core file is located within all downloads.


Issues
Children who already have the "Got an A+ Report Card" memory will not gain an extra Want slot, as do teens who already have the "Was an Overachiever" memory. Try giving them via Simblender to compensate, for example.

If Sims are to lose an extra slot or lock count, their Wants & Fears panel will be reset - extra slots will be rerolled and their locks will be lifted.

Custom potty chairs will not satisfy the "learn 3 toddler skills" condition, as potty chairs belong to no Semi-Globals group...

If needed, try extracting BHAV: 0x0000101D of either group within _PreCollege_Toddler3Skills module. Add it to the custom potty chair files, delete the original BHAV: 0x0000101D, and then change its group to 0xFFFFFFFF.

This mod adds a new Global BHAV: 0x00000813 for operating with extra Want and Fear slots and lock counts.

This mod is intended to replace Nopke's Growing Wants Panel mod.
