No Simoleon Effects When Selling Paintings

What does this do?

This mod is a very simple texture replacer that removes the puff of Simoleons overhead when a sim sells a painting from an easel.

As this is a default-replacement of the DDS textures for the simoleon effects, this shouldn't change performance much either way (good or bad).

This may also remove the simoleon effects if they're used anywhere else - I've only seen them with paintings.

Now, there IS still a brief "splash" effect when a sim sells a painting. This is not something I personally know how to remove - but, to be honest, I never even noticed it before testing this mod, and I actually kind of like it - it looks like a splash of paint. In any case, there IS still a visual effect for selling a painting, but now it's much more subtle. My before and after pics make it seem a lot more noticeable than it is - the animation very brief in-game.


Get it combined:

All of my tiny texture replacers are available in one .package file, for your convenience. You may download either the single files, OR the combined file - not both!

How to use:

Place the .package file in your Mods\Packages folder
Delete your cache files (the 4 files with "cache" in the filename) found in My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\
