TS2 Loading Themes for TS3 weren't enough for you? I can understand that! Now, I have added four popular Sims 2 Neighborhood themes into the game for you to enjoy in Map mode! (TESTERS WANTED, see bottom of post)

This works with Patch 1.36 (Diesel Stuff Patch)

The good thing about this mod is that you can have all four of these installed at once (even with the loading screen mod) and they will not conflict. Also, you install these in the normal place (C://Users/Documents/ElectronicArts/TheSims3/Mods/Packages..) it doesn't require any place special.

You must have the latest patch (1.36) for these to work, you do not need any expansion/stuff packs.

What it does: Watch this video to see how it sounds in Map View! http://youtu.be/3k_3-J0YHBc

Important Note: These mods override the following files in FullBuild01.package: "Sims3_Map01," "Sims3_Map02," "Sims3_Map03," "Sims3_Map04." They will conflict with any mod that overrides that certain file. So say, you download Map1..and another mod that modifies that file. They will conflict. But say you download Map2, and you have a mod that only modifies Map1.. they will not conflict.

Warning!: Bulky Mods! Unfortunately, these mods (with all four of them installed) take up to 20MB. This is because the audio files' size can range up to that level, and even when you re-compress them, their file sizes to not drop to a reasonable size. When testing these out, my game didn't slow down (or if it did, I haven't noticed).. but your case may be different. I recommend only installing 1 or 2 of your liking if you are afraid that your game will run slow, though, how many you install is up to your discretion.

This only replaces BASE GAME map music; as seen in my video.. you will occasionally hear the Expansion map music playing, which is normal. But when the game queues the base game map music.. these themes will play instead.

I want to thank you again if you are choosing to test out this mod!
The only things I need you to do are:
1) Go into Options>Music>Neighborhood. Test out the following song names "Let's Assimilate," "Maps 'n' Symbols," "Cartographer's Symphony," and "Simple Directions." they should play the themes assigned to them.
2) Go into map mode and continue to go in and out of it until you hear one of the themes. Continue to do this until you hear all four themes.
Please report back any technical issues in the comments area. Thank you!
