Today, I set myself a challenge. To build a fully functional, fully furnished starter home, for under 16,500 simoleans, using basegame only content. It was tough, and I needed to jiggle the floorplan around a lot, but eventually, I came up with this! I'm actually super proud of it; it's hard to build a house for under 16,500 and still have it fully furnished!


The floorplan downstairs is open plan. As you step into the house, the first thing you'll see is the living area. The kitchen is tucked away in a little nook to the right hand side, and the stairs leading to the second floor are right next to the living area.


Upstairs, you have a small landing, which leads to a full sized bathroom; no washrooms or showers here! You then some to the small single bedroom, just right for a sim starting out in life!


Just because it's a starter home, doesn't mean I've scrimped on the entertainment! You have a TV and bookcase in the living room, a landline phone, and even a stereo in the kitchen! Yes, your sim really does have everything he or she will need to both have fun, and maintain cheaper living costs!
