Title: Newbie Road 10a
Category: Lots & Housing > Residential > Starter Homes
Cost: 19.974
Lot size: 3x2
No expansion packs required.
No custom content.
Description:
Large starter house for 1-2 Sims, desert terrain. Lots of room, two floors -- this is the extended version of #10 --, but very sparsely furnished. No landscaping/decoration.
1 x double bedroom
3 x bathroom (1 furnished)
1 x kitchen/dining
4 x spare room
Basic appliances included: lights, toilet, shower, fridge, kitchen sink, trashcan, phone, burglar alarm, smoke detector. NO bookshelf. There's enough room to add a carport.
Expandability: Easy - you can add more rooms next to the kitchen, and also on the top floor, without losing functionality.
Note:
If you get an "expansion pack data required" error upon installation, using Clean Installer should help. Apparently this is a known issue (not specific to this download), see this thread describing the problem and this post (daysies) explaining the workaround.
Have fun!

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
