A Marine Biology career for your sims! I rolled a sim with the Genius, Loves to Swim, and Sailor traits so wanted to create something specific for her. This is the first career I have created, and although it has been extensively playtested, it is always possible I've missed something, so any feedback and bug reports would be very welcome.

The career is based at the Science Lab rabbit hole, has ten levels, and three custom skill tones:

Submit Paper to Journals (builds Science skill)
Present Analysis (builds Logic skill)
Collect Specimens (builds Scuba Diving skill)

***You WILL need University and Island Paradise installed as two of these skills are attached to those expansions***

The levels are as follows:

Intern (M-F, 25 simoleans p/h, 9am - 3pm)
Promotion Metrics: Friends with all co-workers.
Description: "You've finally gotten your foot in the door after months of applying and tears of rejection salting your keyboard. As an intern, you'll only be doing the filing, making coffee, and picking up the post, but we've all gotta start somewhere!"

Administrator (M-F, 32 simoleans p/h, 9am - 3pm)
Promotion Metrics: Friends with all co-workers, Science skill 1, Logic skill 1, Scuba Diving skill 1.
Description: "You're not the bottom of the food chain anymore, and the coffee the new guy brings you tastes pretty good. You'll spend your days at a desk filing photos of fish and checking weather reports. The crew in the field rely on you, so make sure your readings are accurate and pretend you love seaweed samples."

Department Applicant (M-F, 40 simoleans p/h, 9am - 3pm)
Promotion Metrics: Friends with all co-workers, Science skill 2, Logic skill 2, Scuba Diving skill 2.
"Time to break out the big harpoons and decide which grad program to choose! Whether you're an otter aficionado or a coral caretaker, either will require a decent amount of dedication to advance your career. You're still stuck on desk duty but try and sneak peeks at scientific journals or various textbooks scattered about the office to get some inspiration for your next step."

Research Assistant (M-F, 50 simoleans p/h, 9am-3pm)
Promotion Metrics: Friends with all co-workers, Science skill 3, Logic skill 3, Scuba Diving skill 3.
"You've finally decided what mystery of the deep you'd like to peruse, so time to join a crew! You're still the baby of the team so you're not quite running the show just yet, but perfect collecting water samples and studying underwater ecosystems and you'll be well on your way."

Researcher (M-F, 60 simoleans p/h, 9am-3pm)
Promotion Metrics: Friends with all co-workers, Science skill 4, Logic skill 4, Scuba Diving skill 4.
"You're the captain now and the boat is yours to command. Your projects are being pushed forward and the newbies look to you for advice. Better brush up on your field reports and get used to providing detailed analyses; it's the only way you'll get that sweet, sweet grant money."

Marine Scientist (M-F, 75 simoleans p/h, 9am-3pm)
Promotion Metrics: Friends with all co-workers, Science skill 5, Logic skill 5, Scuba Diving skill 5.
"You're firmly wedged in your area of expertise now and you're trusted with the fancy equipment and rare specimens. Your days are split between the boat and the lab, supervising dives and analysing field reports. Sure, you're also scrubbing out speciment tanks and doing coffee runs again, but at least you're being paid better money this time."

Senior Marine Biologist (M-F, 100 simoleans p/h, 9am-3pm)
Promotion Metrics: Friends with all co-workers, Science skill 6, Logic skill 6, Scuba Diving skill 6.
"The data is at your fingertips and the public hang on to your every word; you're the face of the team and you've got to convince the world that the oceans really are worth paying attention to. You'll have to be good at swaying corporate and Joe Public if you want to get your projects off the ground."

Consultant (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 120 simoleans p/h, 9am-3pm)
Promotion Metrics: Friends with all co-workers, Science skill 8, Logic skill 8, Scuba Diving skill 8.
"Enough of answering to tyrant supervisors and nitpicky bosses - you're going freelance! From the shores of Al-Simhara to the rivers of Shang Simla, you work wherever you like around the globe. Your skills are in demand at this point, so be your own boss and visit somewhere more scenic than Twinbrook's swamps."

University Lecturer (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 150 simoleans p/h, 9am-3pm)
Promotion Metrics: Friends with all co-workers, Science skill 9, Logic skill 9, Scuba Diving skill 9.
"Had enough of being at sea? Why not train up the next generation? After all, you were once a young grad with stars in your eyes who didn't know an orca from an octopus, and writing essay feedback can't be much harder than observing evolution in axolotls, right?"

Head of Department (M-W, 250 simoleans p/h, 11am-5pm)
Promotion Metrics: Friends with all co-workers, Science skill 10, Logic skill 10, Scuba Diving skill 10.
"You're at the top of your field - king of the whales, queen of the sharks. You're still called upon to assist on strange investigations in the deep and get a lot of intriguing papers to review, but only the ones you choose to. Besides, if you're training an army of dolphins in your downtime, that's your business."
