CaSTable Cow Plants and related objects from the "Killer Classics" store set

Your plant-loving sims can now customise these cow plant objects so that they have their own unique colours. Ms. Meyers pet plant no longer has to look like Mr. Biggs' plant or Miss Henderson's plant or....you get the picture...lol! See below for more details about each object included in this collection.

Compatible with NonaMena's Cow Plant mods
These still use the original script and tuning files (XML/ITUN), so they will work fine with her Paparazzi/Occult Eat Cake mod and her Tweaks mod.

Important Note:
Since the "Killer Classics" collection is a store set, the objects within use data that correspond to the original "unmodified" versions of those packages. If you have edited anything before or after installing your store stuff, you will also need to edit these files in the same manner, or the resources will probably not match up or function correctly. ALL objects (overrides AND new replacements) do rely on resources from the originals in order to look and/or function correctly.

The override objects will contain OBJD, MLOD and MODL overrides that add necessary information to allow recolouring and catalogue sorting, and they will conflict with any other mod that alters the same resources. If the object was already recolourable, then TXTC's will also be modified to add addtional channels.

**HOW TO USE
  • File Location: After downloading, unzip the .rar file and place the unzipped .package file into your Mods/Packages folder. If you already use package files for your store content, then you will need to place any store object packages into a higher priority folder (i.e. overrides) to be sure that the necessary files do get overridden. It is recommended to delete the scriptCache.package and compositorCache.package from your Sims 3 directory after placing these into your game (just in case).

Included Objects
It would have been great to have 6+ channels available for recolouring, but alas, only 4. What I ended up doing was making four types for each object. You will find two varieties (Holstein spotted & Jersey solid) as well as two types of recolour areas (pot & horns VS cake icing & cake). The head and leaves are recolourable on all "Killer Classic" objects. The catalogue order should be -- Holstein, Holstein Cake, Jersey, Jersey Cake. The ones with recolourable cake will have a coloured thumbnail with the word "CAKE" in the top left corner so that it's really simple to know which one you're picking.

Channel Breakdown for Cow Parts:
Channel 1 -- Head
Channel 2 -- Leaves
Channel 3 -- Pot OR Cake Icing (depending on object)
Channel 4 -- Horns OR Cake (depending on object)
  • Laganaphyllis Simnovorii (aka The Cow Plant)
    For those using the "recolourable cake" versions, you will need to zoom in real close to the plant's mouth in order to see the cake. You can also wait for the plant to stick out its tongue and recolour it at that point if you'd like.

  • The Cow Plant Milkshake Maker Spring Ride
    **original body (pot) was already recolourable, so I moved it from Channel 1 to Channel 3 for consistency with other models.

  • Bellies of the Cow Plant Beast Arcade Machine
    **The "cow" part was in a different mesh group, so I had to separate it and make a small script that reassembles it when placed. Since this is destructive to pre-existing objects, all four of these are NEW objects, none of which override the original (an OBJD is included that does hide the original catalogue thumbnail). The "arcade machine" part was already recolourable. Just click from one section to another to switch between parts.

  • Bonus Item -- Cow Plant Table Sculpture (BASE game)
    Not related to above, but same theme. It only had one recolourable channel, so I added the additional three. One of the originals reminded me of an unpainted ceramic, and the extra channels really brought it to life. I believe these are also sometimes thrown at sims on stage when doing a Showtime performance, so now they can take them home and do them all up!

    This is an override of the original.
