Fancy a bit of Fizz?
Ready to move in, and priced to include low-income families, the Raspberry Fizz is a fresh, roomy dwelling with space to expand.
The house has street appeal, with a stylish arrangment of concrete pathway to the stairs, and a roomy patio, cheerfully tiled. The exterior is a little battered and basic, but inside, the rooms are painted in welcoming shades of raspberry and white, making them both cosy and uplifting.
The hall, in the centre of the building, offers access to the service areas on one side. An upstairs bathroom opens off the hall, beside the entry to the spiral staircase. Another door leads to the kitchen, placed out of the traffic areas, and space for a six-seater dining set in the front bay.
A large archway on the opposite side of the hall leads into the lounge, very roomy for a house of this size.
Downstairs are two good-sized basement bedrooms, with daylight windows, sufficient to sleep four or five people. The tiled hall contains a small but sufficient bathroom, also with natural lighting.
There is space outside for parking, and buyers may wish to take this into account when planning their garden. (The house has been a rental property, and very little remains of previous landscaping efforts.) There is also space on the kitchen side of the house for a separate entry, perhaps from a patio or courtyard.
Notes for Players:
The house has been played for about a week. It is furnished for a couple, with double bed, phone, fire alarm, bookcase and other basics. At less than $13, 000, your sims will have plenty of funds for whatever upgrades or electronics their hearts desire.
This is another in my series of houses designed with poor students in mind - minimal furnishings, minimal bills and upkeep, maximum impact-for-money.
However, it is plenty big enough for a family, and bunkbeds would help even more.
It was created for basegame with the help of Numenor's Basegame Starter Pro.
The custom lot was created by Andi8104.
If you don't already have Marvine's spiral stairs, download the anims. package, either here or from the original stairs thread. If you already have the stairs from one of my recent houses, and there are no animations happening, maybe you downloaded them before I added the animations file. Get the animations, and all will be well.
The house is designed to be played from a single vantage point at the front, and everything on the main level should be visible without panning. I have left space for a driveway or other extension work.
Do let me know if things aren't as they should be. My sims found the house very comfortable!

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

About Me
One of the best things about the Sims 2 community is the generosity of so many people, who make things, write tutorials and generally encourage everyone to get the most out of the game. I have benefited enormously from the work and advice of many others, and I thank them for their time and effort.
If you like my work, remember to hit the Thanks button. It's nice to feel appreciated. Constructive feedback is also welcome - I can't fix it if I don't know it's broke.
Please enjoy my creations, and keep it free!
